Make Healthy Normal
Try It Tuesday!
This year, Delish Deliveries were contacted to support the program, and we are proud to say we not only accepted but plan to roll this out in schools across Sydney.
“Jaeger and I are very passionate about encouraging healthy eating habits for all ages, so to be presented with the opportunity to educate kids in the early stages and help facilitate strong, healthy foundations for their future is something I am very proud to be leading.”
How do I get my school involved?

Oatlands Public School introduced this program in 2013 as their data showed that although students were bringing enough fruit in their lunchboxes they were not consuming enough vegetables. According to recent National Survey, while 68% of kids eat the recommended fruit every day, only 5.4% are eating enough vegetables. At Oatlands, during 2016 this successful program resulted in a 30% increase of students consuming daily vegetables (during their daily crunch and sip program) and a 50% increase of students consuming vegetables at least twice per week. “Nothing like a bit of peer pressure to get your kids to eat their greens!”
We are living in an environment where being unhealthy has become normal. Over half of adults and more than one in five children in NSW are overweight or obese, increasing their risk of heart disease, cancer, stroke and type 2 diabetes later in life.
It’s never too late to make a change for yourself or your family. Small changes to your lifestyle can make a big difference. We need to change normal, We need to make healthy normal.
Congratulations to the fabulous community at Oatlands Public School.
